Islamabad, Dec 23 (ANI): At least six people, including five soldiers, were killed in a car suicide bombing near the town of Mingora in the restive northwest valley of Swat.
Thirteen other soldiers and four civilians were also injured in the attack when the car rammed into a military convoy, The News reported.
“A suicide bomber in a white car struck a military convoy near Mingora. One soldier and five civilians were martyred,” the daily quoted chief military spokesman Major General Waheed Arshad, as saying.
More than 750 people have been killed in militant attacks this year — and more than half of those since July, when the army raided a radical, pro-Taliban mosque in the capital Islamabad, killing 100 people. There have been more than 40 suicide attacks in Pakistan this year. (ANI)
