Several killed in Pakistan bomb blast
November 10th, 2009 - 7:09 pm ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )CHARSADDA, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) — At least fifteen people were killed and dozens more were injured after a suspected car bombing in the Pakistani city of Charsadda, according to media reports.
The blast happened at a crowded market around 4.30 p.m. local time. GEO TV reported that at least fifteen people were killed, while Express TV reported that more than twenty people were also injured.
Some people were taken to a local hospital, while others were taken to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar. Reporters on the scene said the local hospital is not equipped to deal with a large number of casualties.
Several shops were reported to be on fire, and a large cloud of smoke was rising from the scene shortly after the blast.
The number of casualties is expected to rise.
