Peshawar, Nov.26 (ANI): Several persons were injured in a car bomb blast which occurred near a private school in Charsadda area of Peshawar early on Thursday morning.
Security officials cordoned off the region and injured were admitted to various hospitals across the city, The News reports.
Eye-witnesses said the bomb was planted in a car which was parked near the school.
The blast, which is believed to have been triggered off by a remote control device, was so powerful that it destroyed several vehicles parked near by and damaged electric supply lines in the area.
None of the terror groups operating in the region took the responsibility for the blast, till reports last came in.
Sources said the blast was of lower intensity compared to the recent attacks in the provincial capital.
Over 300 people have died and dozens injured in a wave of terror attacks in Peshawar in the past one-month, which is seen as a retaliation against the Pakistan Army’s offensive against the Taliban in Swat and South Waziristan. (ANI)
