- Peshawar, Nov. 14 (ANI): At least seven persons, including a policeman were killed in a car bomb blast outside a police station here on Saturday.
Saturday’s blast came a day after another blast had claimed at least eight lives on Friday.
Senior police and army officials are reportedly at the site to ascertain the exact cause for the blast. The area has been cordoned off for further investigations. The bomb disposal squad, police and army personnel are examining the damaged debris for clues to what or who were behind the blast.
Further details are awaited.
On Friday, eight persons were killed and 30 others injured in a powerful bomb blast near the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) building in front of the Army Stadium around 6.45 a.m.
The ISI building was heavily damaged in the blast. Eyewitnesses said there were also some gunshots heard just before the deafening blast.
Television footage showed damaged buildings and debris scattered on the road adjacent to the ISI building, which could have been the probable target.
An emergency was declared at all hospitals in the city. (ANI)
