Security personnel among three killed in Peshawar suicide blast
December 22nd, 2009 - 2:32 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )Peshawar, Dec. 22 (ANI): Peshawar was rocked once again on Monday morning when a devastating bomb blast killed at least three persons, including a security personnel.
According to reports, the blast occurred in front of the main gate of the Press Club Building located on Sher Shah Suri Road in Saddar region of the provincial capital.
Eyewitnesses said it was a suicide attack.
The explosion took place when security men, deployed on the main gate of building, stopped a suspicious man, as he was about to enter the building premises.
The blast was so powerful that it shattered the windowpanes of Press Club Building, The News reports.
Security forces have cordoned-off the area, while relief and rescue teams shifted the injured persons to nearby hospitals, where a state of emergency has been declared. (ANI)
