Taliban Islamabad, June 24 (ANI): No militant organization has taken responsibility for the murder of former close aide of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Baitullah Mehsud, Qari Zainuddin, yet, but its is believed that the TTP chief has ordered his associates to kill Zainuddin.

Zainuddin, who parted ways with the TTP chief, had recently termed Mehsud as ‘unIslamic’ which obviously infuriated him, The Daily Times reports.

Zainuddin was killed by one of his bodyguards, Gulbuddin Mehsud early Tuesday morning.

Mehsud is believed to be an agent of the TTP chief.

An eye-witness of the attack and one of the close aide of Zainuddin, Baz Muhammad, claimed that Baitullah Mehsud had ordered Zainuddin’s murder.

“The gunman was an agent of Baitullah Mehsud, acting on the orders of Al Qaeda-linked warlord. It was definitely Baitullah’s man who infiltrated our ranks, and he has done his job,” said Muhammad.

Muhammad has also lodged a criminal complaint with local police, alleging that the shooting was carried out at Mehsud’s behest. (ANI)
