Islamabad/London, May 25 (ANI): Two suspected killers of a British family gunned down in Pakistan have gone missing after attending the funeral of their brother.

The duo is accused of murdering Mohammed Yousaf, his wife Pervez and their daughter Tania, who hail from Nelson area of Lancashire.

Pakistan police were due to take them into custody after the funeral, but now they have no clue about the absconding men.

The Yousaf family had been in Pakistan for their son’s wedding when a bitter family feud spilled into violence. They were shot as they visited a graveyard to pray at a village in Pakistan’s Gujrat District.

Meanwhile, furious members of the Yousaf family said that police had put lives at risk by delaying the detention of suspected murderers.

“It is a farce. They escaped right under police noses. They are not taking the murder of an entire family seriously,” The Sun quoted Shiraz Ahmad, a relative of the Yousafs, as saying.

“Police should have been watching these guys 24-7. They were allowed to go to the funeral of their brother but now they’ve legged it. It is putting us all in great danger,” another family member added.

Pakistan police believe that the three brothers, one of whom was killed during the attack, were seeking revenge on behalf of their sister who is being divorced.

According to reports, their sister was married to Yousaf’s another son, Kamar. The couple, who were cousins, married around 10 years ago and had two daughters. (ANI)
