Washington, Feb. 27 (ANI): Pakistans Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the US reservations on Sharia deal in Swat have been removed.
There was an allegation that we are actually collaborating with the Taliban and we also had reservations in connection with US presence in Afghanistan. I am returning to Pakistan with a new hope, The News quoted Qureshi, as saying.
Speaking with the reporters here, Qureshi said all the shortcomings, which were found in mutual trust in connection with some of the matters, have successfully been tackled.
Qureshi said Obama administration plans to provide Pakistan with all the equipment to help win the war on terror.
In this regard, the funds in US budget for Foreign Assistance Programme are being increased, he added.
He also informed that the US drone attacks were also mentioned during the talks and hoped for a positive outcome.
Qureshi, however, said nothing was discussed in connection with Kashmir issue.
Nothing was discussed about political crisis in Pakistan, disqualification of Sharif brothers or any report in this regard, Qureshi said. (ANI)
