Karachi, Feb. 3 (ANI): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JI) chief, Qazi Hussain Ahmed, has demanded the government to stop supporting the US in the war on terror and halt the drone attacks in Federal Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and other parts of the North Western Frontier Province (NWFP). Alliance with the US is harmful for Pakistans security, stability and economic prosperity. The supplies to the NATO forces from Pakistan should be stopped as these items are being used against Pakistani people, The Nation quoted Qazi as saying.
While addressing a press conference at Idara-e-Noor-e-Haq on Monday, Qazi rejected the notion that Taliban were destroying girls” schools in Swat. He alleged that Pakistans intelligence and security agencies were involved in schools destruction, and the allegation was was part of the governments propaganda.
He urged the security officials and the government to break off ties with the US and pay attention to the oppressed civilians of Swat and FATA.
He also criticized the arrest of three alleged terrorists in connection with the Rawalpindi and Islamabad bomb blasts, claiming that the three missing persons of Karachi were shown as terrorists.
Quazi also accused the US and British governments for being responsible for the plight of people in Pakistan administered Kashmir. (ANI)
