Pro-Pakistan foreign policy being pursued: Pak Foreign Minister
January 5th, 2010 - 9:30 pm ICT by ANIKarachi, Jan 5(ANI): Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the country is pursuing a pro-Pakistan foreign policy.
Addressing the media in Karachi, Qureshi said: “Our policy is pro-Pakistan. It is neither pro-American nor anti-American.”
“Every country has its own interests to safeguard. Pakistan will protect its own interests which we are doing,” he added.
Qureshi further said that the democratically elected government has been able to project Pakistan’s point of view in a more convincing manner.
“Today the approach has changed significantly. I will tell the nation that the interests of Pakistan are safe,” Qureshi said.
The minister also said that the successful strategy adopted by the country was being recognized, and if there is a success story in counter-terrorism, Pakistan was a role model. (ANI)
