PPP ready to work with Musharraf: BaigFebruary 25th, 2008 - 1:01 pm ICT by admin
Islamabad, Feb 25 (ANI): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Enver Baig has said that after forming the Government, his party would try its best to have a working relationship with President Pervez Musharraf.
In an interview to the BBC, baig said: “We should keep away from a confrontational approach and should jointly work towards the progress of the country.”
“Political parties will have to work for the countrys prosperity, otherwise they will be wiped out in next elections,” the Daily Times quoted Baig, as saying.
“My party would take any possible step to eliminate terrorism and extremism through dialogue. The PPP and the Awami National Party (ANP) had the full support of the northern belt of the country,” he added.
Pakistans nuclear assets are also safe, he said. (ANI)
