Benazir Bhutto Islamabad, Apr 4(ANI): The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has said that the Benazir Bhutto assassination investigation report will not be made public.

PPP General Secretary Badr said that the party’s Central Executive Committee believes that the release of the report could legally sabotage the ongoing case.

“It has been decided that Benazir Bhutto murder case report will not be made public,” the Nation quoted Badr, as saying.

Badr said that Interior Minster Rehman Malik briefed the CEC members about the probes, and the members have expressed their satisfaction over them.

The former Prime Minister was targeted in a gun and bomb attack as she was leaving Liaqat Bagh in Rawalpindi after addressing a public rally on December 27, 2007.

The PPP General Secretary further said that the party would continue its struggle aimed at strengthening democracy in the country.

“Our party will face all challenges confronting the country, and we’ll not step back if asked to give sacrifice for the nation,” Badr said. (ANI)
