Karachi, Feb 21(ANI): Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Taj Haider has said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) should avoid politics of confrontation in Punjab province.
Haider said that the PML-N leadership had started a campaign against the PPP, as they are issuing ultimatums.
“Makhdoom Javaid Hashmi, Mamnoon Hussain, Syed Ghous Ali Shah, Salim Zia and others are our friends of jails during Pervez Musharraf’s regime. They have played vital role for the restoration of democracy so they should motivate their leadership for avoiding politics of contradiction and play a role of reconciliation,” the Daily Times quoted Haider, as saying.
He further said that with the politics of confrontation, PML-N was creating hurdles in the way of democracy.
According to reports, the PML-N is reportedly set to dumpthe PPP in Punjab, on the ground that the federal government had failed to implement the 10-point agenda in the province.
The PML-N had set the 10-point agenda for the federal government to improve its working and style of governance.
Sources claimed that a plan has been tailored by the PML-N in such a fashion that it will not affect the working relationship of the party with the federal government.
They also said that the PML-N has secured its parliamentary strength to a point where it can prolong its tenure in the province without the support of the PPP or any other group. (ANI)
