PPP has never given, accepted deadlines: Pak Law Minister
February 21st, 2011 - 5:27 pm ICT by ANIIslamabad, Feb 21(ANI): Pakistan Law Minister Babar Awan on Monday said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has never given any deadlines, nor does it accept any.
Awan’s comments come after the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) expressed its dissatisfaction over inaction on the part of the government in implementing the party’s 10-point ‘reforms agenda’.
The party has said that its 45-day deadline would not be extended.
“A single party cannot decide the entire country’s fate. All political parties should work together for the betterment of Pakistan,” the Dawn quoted Awan, as saying.
He also claimed that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s statement would lead to reservations among the smaller provinces.
In an attempt to warn the PPP, Shahbaz had said that Tuesday would be the final day for talks with the PPP on the 10-point agenda.
The Chief Minister had also announced that the PML-N will decide on Tuesday whether it wants to have the PPP as a coalition partner in the Punjab government or not. (ANI)
