Powerful blast kills six, injures scores in Peshawar

Peshawar, Oct.9 (ANI): At least six people were killed and 30 others grievously injured in a powerful bomb blast that rocked Peshawar on Friday noon.
The blast occurred in Khyber Bazaar near the North West Frontier Province assembly building, sources said.
According to eyewitnesses, the blast, which occurred inside a bus, was so powerful that it shattered the windowpanes of the buildings nearby and destroyed several vehicles parked near the bus.
Injured persons, many of them in serious condition, were rushed to the Lady Reading hospital.
Television footage showed mangled remains of the vehicles destroyed in the blast.
Sources said the blast was the handiwork of the Taliban, but no official word was available till reports last filtered in. (ANI)
