Lahore, Mar.15 (ANI): Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has sought a three party alliance for forming a government in Punjab.
The PML-Q, PML-Nawaz and the PPP should constitute the Punjab government, as a two-party government would be very weak, The Daily Times quoted Hussain, as saying.
He said no single political party had a clear majority in the province.
Hussain urged all political leaders to unite and work for the development of the country.
The tripartite government would be in the nations interest, as it is the time to solve the peoples problem instead of quarrelling with each other, he added.
Hussain said that all parties should respect each others mandate to evolve a formula as it was the only way out to solve the crisis.
Punjab was put under Governors rule after the Supreme Court disqualified former Prime Minister and PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shabaz Sharif from contesting elections.
Shahbaz Sharif was sacked from the post of Punjab chief minister following the verdict. (ANI)
