Lahore, Sep.13 (ANI): Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman has challenged the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) that it could not have succeeded in trying former President General Pervez Musharraf even if it was in power.
Rehman said his party supported Musharraf’s trial under Article Six of the Constitution, but underlined that in the present circumstances, it was not condusive.
He criticized both the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the parliament for their laid back attitude on certain important issues facing the country including militancy.
“Parliament has passed only one resolution regarding terrorism, but could not even implement that in letter and spirit,” The Daily Times quoted Rehman, as saying. (ANI)
