Lahore, Sep.3 (ANI): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has said his party would not get involved in any ‘undemocratic’ process to bring down the ruling PPP government.
Interacting with media persons here, Sharif said a change of regime would not resolve the crisis being faced by the country at present.
“We will not take part in any undemocratic process to overthrow the present government,” The News quoted Sharif, as saying.
He asked the Gilani government to come forward for talks with the PML-N to solve all pending issues in accordance with the Charter of Democracy (CoD).
Commenting on former President General Pervez Musharraf’s visit to Saudi Arabia, Sharif said he has no knowledge about the former general’s purpose of visit.
The former Prime Minister asked Riyadh to not to meddle in Pakistan’s internal matters.
“Saudi Arab ought not be involved in the politics of Pakistan and I have no idea as to why Musharraf visited the kingdom,” Sharif said.
Sharif said he has no personal grudge against Musharraf, but the former President must be prosecuted to establish the superiority of the Constitution.
“I am fasting and openly declare that I have no grudge against Musharraf, but he should be brought to book for a prosperous Pakistan,” he said. (ANI)
