Lahore, Jan 3(ANI): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Information Secretary Ahsan Iqbal has said that his party will back effective attempts to change the federal government, and that “he sees the end of the government”, according to a TV channel report.
The PPP-led Pakistan government has become a minority one after losing its coalition partners, said Ahsan, adding that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) decision to quit the ruling coalition was a step towards the end of the government, the Daily Times reported.
He said the MQM’s decision reflected what it said, and that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif would soon be in parliament.
Ahsan said it was too early to talk about a prime minister from the PML-N, as the party lacked a majority of members to decide on the matter.
However, he said that the public would soon again see Nawaz as prime minister.
Meanwhile, PML-N leader Saad Rafique said his party did not have any soft corner for the PPP-led government in its heart, the channel reported. (ANI)
