Petition filed in Pak SC to use ‘lie detecting machine’ on Gilani, Awan
October 19th, 2010 - 6:09 pm ICT by ANILahore, Oct 19(ANI): A petition has been filed in the Pakistan Supreme Court requesting it to use a “lie detecting machine” on Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and Law Minister Babar Awan to ascertain whether they were lying about the withdrawal of judges’ restoration notification.
Barrister Javed Iqbal Jaffree, who moved the petition on Monday, alleged that Gilani and Awan have been lying about their intentions of withdrawing the notification.
Through the notification, the Chief Justice of Pakistan and other judges of the superior judiciary had been restored.
“The factual position should be made public, so both the prime minister and the law minister must be made to pass through the lie detecting machine,” the Daily Times quoted Jaffree, as saying. (ANI)
