Islamabad, Oct.30 (ANI): In yet another evidence which proves Pakistan’s involvement in the September 11, 2001 terror strikes on the US, Pakistani troops have discovered a passport belonging to one Said Bahaji, who is believed to have arranged logistics and provided finance to the 9/11 plane highjackers, during search operations in South Waziristan.

According to sources, Bahaji, 34, obtained the passport just days before audacious attacks on the US and used it to travel to Pakistan.

Confirming the report, Pakistan Army’s Chief Spokesperson Major General Athar Abbas said the discovery of such documents clarifies the presence of foreign militants in the region bordering Afghanistan, where the military has launched a massive offensive against the Taliban.

The document indicates that Bahaji was issued a tourist visa to Pakistan by the Pakistani consulate in Hamburg. It was valid for 90 days, according to details mentioned on it.

He landed in Karachi on September 4,2001, however, there were no indications of any further travelling, The Independent reports.

Intelligence sources said Bahaji had also travelled to Afghanistan and Chechnya several times and is also believed to have met Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden.

They said he had travelled to Pakistan via turkey.

Troops have also recovered a Spanish passport belonging to one Raquel Burgos Garcia.

Sources said Garcia is the wife of Amir Azizi, the alleged Moroccan terrorist who supposedly played an important role in both the September 11 attacks and the Madrid bombings. (ANI)
