Panic in Islamabad, Lahore over low flying fighter

Islamabad, Dec.23 (ANI): Low flying fighter jets over major Pakistan cities created panic among people raising fears of war.
Residents in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore were in panic on seeing Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets flying over their cities. Many of them started making frantic phone calls to media house to enquire about whether a war has been declared.
Pakistan has put its air force on alert and increased aerial surveillance of key cities after India reiterated that its options are open inorder to deal with terrorist organizations and bring the perpetrators of Mumbai attack to justice.
Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has sounded alert to all of its forward bases including Lahore, Sargodha and Chaklala to bring down the response time in case there is an attack from the Indian side.
The air force is ready to deal with any situation, adding that the flights over key cities were not part of a routine exercise. Pakistan is taking all precautionary measures to deal with an attack, the Daily Times quoted a PAF source, as saying.
According to a statement released by PAF here, it has increased surveillance in view of the current security situation.
In view of current environment, PAF has enhanced its vigilance, the statement said.
Pakistan has been forced to alert its air force in view of recent statements by Indian leaders and the provocative movement of Indian forces, the newspaper quoted a source, as saying.(ANI)
