Pakistan’s nuclear status ‘established fact’
June 9th, 2011 - 6:22 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, June 9 (IANS) Pakistan says that its status as a nuclear weapon state is “an established fact”.
“Pakistan is a nuclear-weapon state. This is an established fact,” the foreign ministry said Wednesday.
“We do not comment on our strategic programme,” the Associated Press of Pakistan quoted the foreign office spokesman as saying.
He was responding to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s statement that the US was planning to sabotage Pakistan’s nuclear facilities.
