Pakistan’s ambassador to US gets two-year extension

Islamabad, April 8 (IANS) Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Husain Haqqani, has got a two-year extension, it was reported here Friday.
“I serve as long as I enjoy the confidence of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani,” Dawn quoted Haqqani as saying.
“I took this responsibility at a difficult time but I am satisfied that I did my best to serve the interests of my country.”
He got the extension this week and will remain ambassador till May 25, 2013.
