Barrister Murtaza Akram was abducted in his own car from the DA Scheme 1 area of Karachi. The armed men looted him and left him on a highway when the car’s fuel ran out, Geo News reported.
Ahmed Chinoy, chief of Karachi’s citizen-police liaison committee, told Dawn News that Murtaza had been kidnapped from Karsaz Road. Later, the vehicle was blocked by a tracker system installed in it, forcing the abductors to flee.
Wahab is a member of the Pakistani parliament and a long-time member of the PPP.
