Pakistani lawyers protest senior advocate’s killing
January 10th, 2012 - 5:03 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Jan 10 (IANS) Lawyers in Pakistan observed a day-long strike Tuesday to protest the killing of a senior lawyer in Lahore city of Punjab province, Geo News reported.
Nasrullah Waraich, a former member of the executive committee of the Pakistan Bar Council, was shot dead Monday night by some unidentified people outside his house in Lahore’s Gulshan-e-Ravi area.
Lawyers in Islamabad and Rawalpindi cities also observed strike to protest the senior lawyer’s killing.
