Islamabad, May 8 (IANS) A Pakistani Jirga in Swat Valley Saturday warned the militants to surrender by May 20 or else their family members would be expelled from the area and their homes would be destroyed, a media report said.
Twelve tribal union councils attended the Jirga (tribal assembly) in Kanju village in Swat Valley, Xinhua reported.
Meanwhile, the tribal militia, which is backing the government, has blocked supply routes of the Taliban in Orakzai and urged people to avoid travelling in areas dominated by militants.
Head of tribal militia Mir Ajab Khan has deployed his men at all entry and exit points in the region.
