Pakistani ex-soldier held over bombing plot
October 31st, 2011 - 10:11 am ICT by IANSIslamabad, Oct 31 (IANS) A former commando of the Pakistan Army has been arrested on charges of plotting to bomb the parliament, a media report said.
Saadullah, an ex-member of the Special Services Group and the alleged mastermind of the plot, was held Sunday in Punjab province, the official Iranian IRNA news agency reported.
The attack was foiled after the arrests of four suspects earlier this month. Four suicide jackets, grenades and other explosive material were seized from them.
Police said Saadullah was arrested through intelligence provided by the suspects.
