Pakistan violates ceasefire again (Lead)
June 21st, 2010 - 10:39 am ICT by IANSSrinagar, June 21 (IANS) Pakistani troops resorted to firing at Indian position in Jammu region’s Ranbir Singh Pura sector along the international border early Monday, an official said.
“Pakistani troops fired at Abdullah border outpost this morning. The fire was returned by the BSF (Border Security Force) troops,” a senior police officer told IANS.
“No casualty has been reported in the incident,” the officer said.
A BSF trooper told IANS the exchange of fire lasted for about an hour.
The fire from across the border started around 4 a.m. and was directed at Abdullah post in Ranbir Singh Pura, about 30 km west of Jammu.
