Islamabad, Mar 11(ANI): Pakistan test fired a nuclear-capable surface-to-surface ballistic missile on Friday.
The short-range Hatf-2 ballistic missile can travel up to 180 km (110 miles).
“Hatf-2 can carry nuclear as well as conventional warheads with high accuracy,” Samaa TV quoted Pakistan’s Inter Services Public Relations, as saying in a statement.
The missile was successfully launched from an undisclosed location, it added.
Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman General Khalid Shamim Wyne witnessed the missile test. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani felicitated the scientists and the army for the achievement. (ANI)
