Pakistan suicide blast kills four policemen
April 28th, 2010 - 1:36 pm ICT by IANSPeshawar, April 28 (IANS) At least four policemen were killed and six injured Wednesday in a suicide blast at a checkpost near this Pakistani city, an official said.
Militants rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the Pir Bala police checkpost, destroying it completely and killing the four policemen, Peshawar capital city police officer (CCPO) Liaquat Ali was quoted as saying by Geo TV.
The injured policemen have been shifted to hospital for treatment, hospital officials said.
The death toll may, however, rise later, Ali said adding that the blast also partially destroyed nearby buildings.
