Pakistan frees 12 Indian fishermen

Islamabad, Dec 13 (IANS) Twelve Indian fishermen who were held for illegally entering the Pakistani waters were released from a Karachi jail Monday, a media report said. The Malir jail, where they had been held for two years, has sent the fishermen to Lahore Monday and they will be handed over to the Indian officials at the Wagah border crossing Tuesday, the Online news agency reported.

At least 176 Indian fishermen are still held in the Malir district jail in Karachi.
