Pakistan celebrates 115th birth anniversary of first PM
September 30th, 2010 - 10:05 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Sep 30 (IANS) Pakistan Thursday celebrated the 115th birth anniversary of the country’s first prime minister Liaquat Ali Khan.
Different political parties and social organisations organised seminars and programmes across the country to pay homage to the late leader, Online news agency reported.
Liaquat Ali Khan was born in 1895 and played a vital role in the independence movement. He was also close to Pakistan founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
Khan died Oct 16, 1951 in Rawalpindi.
