Pakistan Air Force ready to tackle any aggression against nation: Qamar Suleman
April 28th, 2011 - 5:46 pm ICT by ANIIslamabad, April 28(ANI): The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is ready to tackle any aggression against the country, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, has said.
“We are aware of confronting internal and external threats but we have to tackle them through modern war strategy and limited resources”, The Nation quoted Suleman, as saying while addressing the graduation ceremony held at the PAF Academy in Risalpur.
He said that the successful operation against extremists is ample evidence that Pakistan’s armed forces are ready to meet any challenge.
Pakistan does not wish to enter into arms race, he said, adding that Pakistan is a peace-loving country and wants to live in the region with honour and dignity, but aggression of any kind from any side would be met with full force by its armed forces.
Suleman said that the PAF remains a potent force, fully capable of defending the aerial frontiers of Pakistan.
Pakistan will continue to equip its air force with modern weapons to make the country’s future secure and safe, he added.
“No doubt weapons are necessary in war, but the strong institution, strong training and spirits are more necessary in war,” Suleman asserted. (ANI)
