Pak Test skipper describes Kiwis as tough challengers on home soil
December 14th, 2010 - 4:40 pm ICT by ANILahore, Dec. 14 (ANI): PakistanTest captain Misbah-ul-Haq has described the New Zealand cricket team as strong opponents on home soil.
“I think no one should consider New Zealand’s [poor] performances on Asian pitches and atmosphere, [because] they have always been tough rivals in their home conditions,” the Dawn quoted Misbah, as saying ahead of the two-Test series to be played in New Zealand next month.
“Though [Pakistan] beating New Zealand is quite possible, to achieve this every member of the squad has to give his cent per cent. And the entire team have to play quality cricket as a unit,” Misbah, 36, added.
Pakistan will play their first Test against New Zealand from January 7 to 11 at Seddon Park, Hamilton. The second Test will be played at the Basin Reserve in Wellington from January 15 to 19. (ANI)
