Pak religious parties blame US for recent terrorist attacks
February 8th, 2010 - 6:24 pm ICT by ANIIslamabad, Feb. 8 (ANI): Pakistan’s religious parties have blamed the United States for the series of recent terrorist attacks and the current chaotic political situation in the country.
Protesters from the Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi (JI), Shia Ulema Council Pakistan (SUCP), United Human Rights Council Pakistan (UHRCP) and Karachi Aman Jirga (KAJ) gathered outside Karachi Press Club, and expressed astonishment at how easily the terrorists hit innocent people on Ashura day and Chehlum while the government kept blaming one terrorists outfit after another, The Nation reports.
Speaking on the occasion, JI Sindh chief Assadullah Bhutto said that America is the archrival of Islam and its followers.
He claimed that America and its allies have designs to bring communal differences in Pakistan and ultimately get its nukes under its control.
Allama Ali Muhammad Rizvi of SUC said that terrorists wanted to create a sectarian divide between Muslims on a Shia-Sunni line.
UHRC Chairman Ahmed Ali said that the conspirators, through these blasts at processions, wanted to create communal riots in Karachi and turn it into another Beirut. (ANI)
