Lahore, Dec 30 (ANI): President Pervez Musharrafs spokesman, Major General (retired) Rashid Qureshi has dismissed an e-mail from the slain former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto to a CNN staffer, saying that Musharraf would be responsible if anything happened to her.
Qureshi said, Its a ridiculous statement which doesnt deserve comment.
Wolf Blitzer received an e-mail on October 26 from her friend and lobbyist Mark Siegel shortly after the first attempt on her life on October 18.
According to the Dawn, Benazir wrote that if she was harmed in Pakistan she would ”hold Musharraf responsible as she felt insecure by Musharrafs minions, that specific improvements had not been made to her security arrangements.
Meanwhile, Benazirs husband Asif Ali Zardari has said that the e-mail was self-explanatory and should be treated as Benazirs dying statement. (ANI)
