Lahore, Oct 8 (ANI): Retorting to former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf’s tirades against their party leaderships, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPAs have called him “insane,” and demanded his mental examination.
Talking to journalists before the Punjab Assembly session, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah stated that Musharraf had “lost his mind after losing his government and had become insane,” the Daily Times reported.
He also said that the newly formed APML party’s founder lacked discretion and polity, which were essential in politics.
Senior Minister Raja Riaz called for Musharraf’s mental examination, terming him “crazy”. He also lashed out at the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) politicians, saying they would make the 67-year-old their party president even ten times over.
The disparage prompted the opposition members to demand the removal of “awkward words” from the proceedings of the House, to which Riaz argued that he had not used non-parliamentary language. He pointed out that PML-Q lawmakers used similar words when they were in power.
Earlier this month, Musharraf had called PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif ‘brainless,’ and the PML-N a family party. Nawaz had failed to deliver during his previous two terms as the country’s premier, he said, adding that the former premier would ruin Pakistan if he became Prime Minister for a third term. (ANI)
