December 8th, 2010 - 2:16 pm ICT by ANIIslamabad, Dec 8(ANI): The Pakistan government has reportedly formed a high-level investigation team to check the hacking of several government websites allegedly by the ‘Indian Cyber Army’.
According to the Dawn, the team headed by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)’s Additional Director has collected data from National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) to trace the hackers.
A senior FIA official said that the agency’s team, which included computer experts, had checked the authenticity of the Internet report with the NTC network, which hosts a majority of the government websites.
“The FIA will also seek assistance of Interpol if involvement of Indian hackers is proved,” the official said.
It was reported that the Indian Cyber Army had hacked at least 35 government websites on Tuesday.
The hacked websites carried a message reading “Hacked by Indian Cyber Army”.
The Pakistani government had to take immediate action to restore the websites. (ANI)
