Pak intelligence warns of terror threat to Air Force bases, women’s institutes
July 19th, 2010 - 5:02 pm ICT by ANILahore, July 19(ANI): Pakistan intelligence reports have revealed that terrorists are planning to attack Air Force bases and landing strips across the country, especially those in Punjab.
After the warning, the Interior Ministry has advised police and other law enforcement agencies to beef up security across the province and maintain strict vigilance at all times, The Daily Times reports.
The National Crisis Management Cell (NCMC) and the Punjab Police are also under orders to enhance security arrangements in this regard.
Another intelligence report warned that terrorists, including Siraj Ahmed Muaviya, Shakil Muaviya and Javed Farooqi have plans to attack women’s educational institutions in Lahore and Rawalpindi. (ANI)
