Pak hands over list of prisoners to India
July 2nd, 2010 - 2:38 pm ICT by ANIIslamabad, July 2 (ANI): Pakistan has handed over a list of Indian prisoners locked in various jails of the country to New Delhi.
The list was handed over to the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, a statement released by the Foreign Office (FO) said.
The list was handed over in accordance with the Agreement on Consular Access signed between Pakistan and India on May 21, 2008, The Dawn quoted the statement, as saying.
According to the agreement both countries are required to exchange lists of prisoners in each other’s custody on January 1 and July 1 every year. (ANI)
