Pak govt will bring back Musharraf if court orders: Gilani

Islamabad, Dec.30 (ANI): Rejecting the notion of having a deal with former President General Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said the government will act if the court of law orders it to bring back Musharraf.
Gilani told a private television channel that the government would certainly take necessary action against Musharraf, if the court orders to bring him back, The News reports.
Musharraf, who is currently in London on an ‘unannounced’ self-exile, had recently said that he would return to Pakistan soon.
However, it is unlikely that the former general would return to his country in near future, especially when the controversial amnesty law, the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) has been rendered ‘defunct’ and ‘Unconstitutional’ by the Supreme Court.
Not only that, various political parties are demanding Musharraf’s high treason trial under the Article Six of the Constitution.
Given the current turbulent situation in the country, Musharraf’s return seems difficult. (ANI)
