Pak capital Islamabad observes Earth Hour
March 28th, 2011 - 1:31 pm ICT by ANIIslamabad, Mar. 28 (ANI): The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad joined hands with the global community to observe Earth Hour-2011, for promotion of sustainable environment, conservation of energy and to mitigate the effects of climate change.
According to the Daily Times, a ceremony was held at CDA headquarters. All lights were switched off of CDA building as a symbolic act for observing the Earth Hour.
Efforts are also being made to adopt the best practices for reducing consumption of energy and carbon emission, CDA chairman Elahi said. (ANI)
