Islamabad, April 15(ANI): The Lahore High Court has asked the Attorney General of Pakistan to submit his reply on the release and subsequent departure of double murder accused CIA contractor Raymond Davis.

On March 16- the same day when he was indicted for double murder- Davis was freed and quickly flown out of Pakistan after the heirs of the two victims told a local court that they had pardoned him in lieu of blood-money, bringing the one and a half month-long saga to an abrupt end.

The Lahore High Court heard a petition on Friday against the release and departure of US national Davis from Pakistan, asked the Attorney General to submit his reply in this regard by April 26, the Dawn reports.

According to the petitioner, Davis was allowed to leave the country even though his name was on the Exit Control List (ECL).

The petitioner appealed to the court to reopen the Raymond Davis murder case and investigate those individuals who were responsible for his release and departure from the country. (ANI)
