Pak, Afghanistan, US hold trilateral talks in Islamabad

Islamabad, May 3(ANI): Pakistan, Afghanistan and the United States held trilateral talks on Tuesday on the situation arising from the killing of Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden.

The Saudi-born terrorist, who had evaded capture for a decade, was killed Sunday night in a top secret operation involving a small team of US Special Forces in Abbottabad city, located 50 kilometres northeast of Islamabad and 150 kilometres east of Peshawar.

US Special Representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan, Marc Grossman, Pakistan Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir and Afghanistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister led their respective sides in the trilateral talks, Samaa TV reports.

According to reports, Bin Laden’s death, the ongoing anti-terror campaign, intelligence sharing and the regional reconciliation process came under discussion at the talks. (ANI)
