One killed, seven wounded in Quetta suicide attack targeting DIG Investigation
April 7th, 2011 - 1:58 pm ICT by ANIQuetta, April 7(ANI): At least one person was killed and seven others injured in a suicide attackon the residence of Wazir Khan Nasir, Deputy Inspector General (Investigation) of police, in Quetta on Thursday.
DIG Investigation Nasir and his son Zubair Khan have reportedly been injured in the powerful explosion, Samaa TV reports.
According to details, a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the wall of Nasir’s home on Gulistan Road.
Capitol City Police Officer (CCPO) Daud Junejo said that the attacker first opened fire and then blew up his explosive-laden car, killing the guard at the gate of the house.
The DIG was slightly wounded in the attack, he added
Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani has strongly condemned the attack and ordered an investigation in this regard. (ANI)
