One injured in bomb blast in Peshawar, school bus escapes attack
January 6th, 2011 - 6:38 pm ICT by ANIPeshawar, Jan 6(ANI): A bomb blast took place in Garhi Hasan area of Peshawar on Thursday, wounding one person.
According to police, a five-kilogram bomb was planted on the roadside near Peshawar Cantonment in Garhi Hasan, SAMAA TV reports.
Owing to the blast, glass windows of many nearby houses were broken. Eyewitnesses told the media persons that a school bus escaped the blast narrowly by a few moments difference, and reportedly all the children were safe.
On Tuesday, five children were wounded when a bomb explosion tore through a school bus in insurgency-hit Balochistan.
The bus was taking over 30 children of paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) fathers to a school in Turbat town, and a remote-controlled bomb exploded when the bus neared Ata Shad College, about 550 kilometres west of the provincial capital Quetta. (ANI)
