One dead in Pakistan blast

Islamabad, Feb 15 (IANS) At least one person was killed Wednesday when a bomb fixed to a parked motorcycle exploded in Pakistan’s northwest tribal region bordering Afghanistan.

Seven others were injured when the remote-controlled blast took place in Jamrud area of Khyber Agency, Xinhua reported. Police said the target of the blast was not clear.

Residents said the bomb went off when members of a peace militia were passing by.
