Kathmandu, June 1 (ANI): A government panel set up to make security arrangements in former King Gyanendras Narayanhiti palace carried out on the spot inspection of the palace today.
Mod Raj Dotel, the Nepal Home Ministry spokesperson, was leading the team.
The panel reached at the Palace and discussed security arrangements with the Palaces secretariat office bearers and security officials. But it declined to divulge the details of the palace security and inspection.
The panel has begun its work as per the directive issued by the government to prepare a security plan for the Palace and is expected to table its report within seven days, according to the Kantipuronline.
The government had constituted the panel after the first sitting of the newly-elected Constituent Assembly (CA), members declared the country a federal democratic republic on Wednesday, bring an official end to the 240-year-old monarchy. (ANI)
