Nobody can stop Musharraf’s return to Pakistan: APML

Lahore, April 19 (ANI): Nobody can stop former president and All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) chief Pervez Musharraf, who is currently in self-exile from Pakistan, from returning to the country, the party’s central leader Naeem Tahir has said.
The mammoth participation of people in the median political public meeting of the APML has proved that the masses are eager to welcome back Musharraf as Pakistan’s leader once again, the Daily Times quoted Tahir, as saying.
Musharraf, who launched his own political party APML in October 2010, has claimed several times that he would return to Pakistan to lead the party and contest the next elections.
Tahir said that Musharraf is the only leader who has the ability to steer Pakistan out of the prevailing crisis, adding that veteran politicians have also termed the former military ruler’s return as a good omen.
According to a recent survey, 60 per cent people of Pakistan want Musharraf back, said Tahir, adding: “The people are fed up from the current system, in which the poverty ratio is scaling up due to sky-high prices of daily use items”.
The rulers of Pakistan have brought the country at the verge of collapse in the name of democracy, he maintained. Responding to a question, Tahir said that the “emperor and princes of Lahore” must realise that the public is now well informed and will not be trapped by their (PML-N leaders’) hollow claims of public service.
